Linda's Birthday card & gift

I made this card for my friend who's a bit of a goth & likes green. I was going for a gothic-steampunk style when I made this card. Then asked my brother Toby, to make a wrist cuff as well , after I saw what he'd been tinkering with in the shed (lots of steampunk jewellery & other stuff).
I realised I'd taken this photo before I had touched up the hair, but decide not to delete it so you could see how I built up the colours to make black. I don't actually have black or cool grey copic markers, which is what is recommended  to do black hair. You can see in the picture below that I darkened the hair by adding more darker warm greys, a lot more!

I used a white gel pen to draw a spider web on the inside of the card, & a silver gel pen to write in a slightly gothic style  I seen on a calligraphy poster.

Stamp by Kenny K- "Luscious Linda" (appropriate name for the stamp),  Coloured with Copic Markers.
Other stamp sets from Stampin' Up- Clockworks & Grunge Rock.
Big Shot- Beautiful Wings Embosslits & Stripes Embossing Folder.
Dsp- News Print.

For the spider web, I just used a bone folder to press the shape of the spider web into the green card stock  then sponged over the top the matching green ink & around the edges with black ink. (Of course I made this card a while ago, now I have a spider web embossing folder, which would have been handy at the time).
I added this photo because I forgot that I changed one small thing, after someone made a comment that they didn't like  something on the card. Can you guess what it is? ... I know I shouldn't let other people influence me so easily, but after they pointed it out it bugged me... Its the black butterfly, I put it on the envelope & replaced it with a safety pin.

This is the cuff that Toby made. I was very grateful to see that he had come up with design that I had asked for, when I had been struggling to, & I was running out of time. I guess all I really asked for was something black with a bit of red, & spider webs & spiders, with straps & buckles. I was happy with it, & so was Linda.  : )

& the back with buckles of course for adjustment & style.
